Syncing Fonts on Your Computers
If you use more than one computer, you can use FontAgent® Sync to synchronize fonts across the systems to provide consistent working environments.
Sharing Fonts with Other Computers in FontAgent Sync
To share fonts with your other computers, follow these steps:
- Select the font you wish to share.
- Select the Font menu command, and click the Share Font icon.
... or just right-click the font and choose Share Fonts from the pop-up menu.
FontAgent then uploads the selected fonts to the cloud where your other computers can view and download the fonts.
Sharing Sets with Other Computers in FontAgent Sync
To share sets of fonts with your other computers, follow these steps:
- Select the set you wish to share.
- Select the Set menu command, and click the Share Set icon.
FontAgent then uploads the fonts in the selected set to the cloud where your other computers can view and download the fonts.
Using Fonts Shared from Your Other Computers
When you share fonts and sets from your other computers, FontAgent uploads them to the cloud. To access those fonts, select the Share > Sync with Server menu command. Then click the Shared set in the Sets Sidebar and FontAgent displays the shared fonts in its Main Window. You can select, view and activate those shared fonts just like any other font in your local FontAgent catalog.
Observe Software and Licensing Requirements
Please respect and conform to license requirements for your various fonts. To remain in compliance with the terms of your licenses, please make sure you have licensed enough seats for the fonts you share with others.
Unsharing Fonts in FontAgent Sync
To unshare fonts you have previously shared with other users in your workgroup, follow these steps:
- Select the font or set you wish to unshare.
- Open the Share menu and click the Unshare Font or Unshare Set command.
... or just right-click the font or set and choose Unshare.
When you unshare fonts in your FontAgent Sync workgroup, the fonts become unavailable to everyone in the group. To once again make unshared fonts available to your workgroup, right-click the fonts and select Share from the pop-up menu.
Sharing Fonts Across Mac and Windows Computers
FontAgent enables you to sync and share fonts across across Windows and Macintosh computers. As the table below shows, OpenType, Windows TrueType and TrueType Collection fonts work on both systems.
